Our elders, the people of the land

Our elders, or as they like to call themselves, the old hands, have been one of the best parts of my adventure since returning home: their experience and advice, their laughter and complaints, and above all their knowledge of the land.

I have known some of you for so long that you feel like family. Others have joined more recently and already belong to it. You all help our project grow and improve.

You tell me when Galantería tastes good, when you dislike a label or when you think we should do something differently. You are the essence of the countryside and of what we learn. As I tell visitors, one day I too will be an old hand for someone, passing on that knowledge.

You are the first creators of Esencia de la Torre and Galantería. Your work in the vineyard begins and completes our journey each year.

We make mistakes, but we learn from them. That is who we are: people of the land making wine.
